Well, today I bought a BlackBerry Pearl 8110 with AT&T.
I love it! But one thing I don't like is the SMS text input.
I don't use MultiTap, and I turned AutoText off.
But it still has a list of words for me to choose from, and that is really annoying.
Does anybody know how to change this?

just keep typing. The more you use a word the more likely suretype is going to remember it and not bring up other words when you are typing. I thought it was annoying at first too, but now its legit.

I'll give you the same advice someone gave to me. Don't watch the screen. Enable SureType and hit each key that contains the letter that you want just once. But look at the keys, not the screen. When you're done, read it over. Chances are, it will be 99% right. I only have problems with a few proper names and still get "duck" and "shut" when I want the other words. Apparently RIM isn't owned by "French" Canadians!
