Is the Moto Q9H EOL?

I noticed on a few forums that the Moto Q9H is mentioned as EOL...

Is this true or just more rumors?

I don't think it is EOL but like everything technology related there will be a new model which probably does more for less soon.

From what I've heard it is EOL; the updated q9h with wifi and Windows Mobile 6.1 should be nearing release in July or August. But with all things unofficial take that with a grain of salt.

It should have both - the addition of the wifi chip will not mean the removal of the GPS chip.

Can someone please tell me on what forum or what PR that says the q9h is EOL? There is nothing from att or moto that says that.

Also I can't find anything that says a new model is coming with wifi. If you are talking about the supposed one featured on boy genius then everyone knows that one is a fake.

I still see the Q9 in its various flavors alive and well. I played with the Q Global last week at an AT&T corp. store and it's there on the website. The only one out of stock is the refurb.

All the local GSM carriers are now selling the Q9, with SunCom starting two weeks ago. That and with Sprint having the Q9c, Motorola is shooting to make the Q9 as ubiquitous as the RAZR.

I just filed an insurance claim on my Q9h and they are sending me a NEW one, not a refurb.

The Moto Q Global is an endangered species.

I went to 2 corp stores and one kiosk today and they all told me that they were out of Q Globals and that they haven't received any in a few weeks.

This is what I have found out....take it with a grain of salt though.

Went to two corp stores...1 in Chicago loop and 1 in western burbs. Both said it is EOL in 3 months. Basically end of August after the 3g iphone is out.

So does that mean the q line is done for att? Is there something coming out to replace it? Will the q9 still get the wm6.1 upgrade?

Don't know any of these answers but know seems like a great time to start a campaign to force att to give the upgrade just like what was done for the blackjack.

Why would a great smartphone be phased out in just under 1 year??

I have no idea. I had to get mine on the website. I could've gotten a better deal at a local corp store but they are not carrying it anymore. I can tell you that the Q9h has been my favorite phone from all the phones I've ever had, which is why I had to get another one for AT&T and I'm selling the Tilt afterwards.

Why are they killing it out so soon is beyond me. The iPhone 3G is in no way a comparable replacement to a Q9h.
