Have a Cingular treo 750 unlocked with ATT Blue (Old ATT) sim. Two problems:
1. Cannot use UMTS with the sim. I can get GSM and edge fine, Send and recieve SMS fine. Will not connect when using UMTS.

2. Since updating to WM6.0 Cingular ROM cannot get the phone to realize it is not Roaming. Always shows a triangle up top and wont allow setting of different ringtones for different users sinced it always uses the Roaming Ring..

Please I hope someone has found solutioins to these problems. Thay are described elsewhere but no good answer yet..

1. You'll need to change the internet connection settings for the Blue side for it to connect to the internet. Not sure why it isn't connecting or showing UMTS (for voice right)?

2. It's because the SIM has the MNC 310-380 as the home network, since there is no more 310-380 being used on the AT&T/Cingular network, the phone will always think it is roaming. Unless there is another newer or hacked ROM that has the added 310-380 MNC in it to not display it as roaming.

One way to get rid of this is to migrate over to the new at&t and get a new SIM which I know you don't want to do if you've got a good plan right now.

The phone connects to the internet with EDGE and makes calls fine. When I switch it to UMTS, it makes calls but does not connect to the internet.

What network number should it be connecting to to get rid of roaming.. Can I manually choose that or add it?
