Shadow Problem

Just bought my teenage daughter a Shadow. Sometimes, it seems that it decides to turn the cell radio off. Not a major deal, as you go to comm settings and turn it back on.

But why is it doing this?

We have crappy service at the house, does it shut off the radio when it can't find a signal to conserve battery strength? Is there another setting I am missing? It's my first WM phone.

It is a defect in the phone ROM. Unless your daughter is accidentally using the comm manager and turning the radio off, it shouldn't be doing that.

You can go the advanced way and try to flash a custom ROM to the device(if they have one for the Shadow, I do not know.)

Or you can send it back to T mobile for a new one.

Thanks. I changed the automatic to manual a couple days ago. She never complained all weekend.
