Accessing VZW News/Web from PC?

Is there any way to access the Verizon Mobile Web/News pages from the PC?
I want to throw together a fake news story to pull up on my phone for a friend.... I need to borrow the graphics and such... any ideas?
I tried just going to the URL shown on a random news story on the phone and it won't even load...

That's because Mobile Web uses a proxy server. To view the mobile web on your computer, you will first need to configure your computer to use gw.vzwwap.com as a proxy server. Your phone number is the user name, and "vzw" (without the quotes) is the password.
You will then be able to access the URL displayed on your phone.
