Hey all, just wondering if anyone has found a good AA powered charger for an HTC phone. I have a dash, and because I'm going to be traveling soon, I was hoping to have some sort of portable charging solution handy. Do any of these products actually work well? I'm hoping to be able to use it with NiMH rechargeables.

You're best bet is to bring a USB to MiniUSB cable and either charge from your laptop or from a small USB power block (w/ the correct adapter for local voltage).
AA emergency power adapters are good in a pinch but not for long term charging. If you need extended power, look at the battery / power adapter sold at WalMart for $50.
This worked for me with my Dash in China, England and India.

I have one of these for my tilt, and use it with four AA rechargeables. It works great - it will run the phone with constant use (eg. with AT&T Nav running with live updates enabled) and charge it simultaneously (in fact, it will reach a full charge again in about the same time it would on my car charger).
I usually have it with me in my backpack, just in case...
P.S. as a test after I got it, I used a fresh set of regular duracell AA's, and was able to fully re-charge my tilt (from 33% or less remaining charge on the tilt's battery) 3 times. By then, the power button on the pocketsolutions device was barely glowing, so I think that was about it for a set of regular alkaline batteries.
