I know I know... there are a ton of threads, but I was wondering if there is any new information on the BB 9000/Bold?

Any idea on when the release date will be?!

Rogers drops Curve price from $249 to $99 to get rid of the inventory. You call that speculation? AT&T is doing the same with their Curve inventory.

AT&T is getting exclusive release to Bold 9000 in States and Rogers Branded 9000 just appeared on Crackberry yesterday.

I was by the verizon wireless booth the other day and the sales guy said that it was being exclusive to verizon. Odd.

Blackberry announced that the bold would be exclusive to AT&T at launch. Those Verizon guys are smoking crack.

There was a rumor about a touch BB that would be exclusive to Verizon, but not now...... sometime down the road.

You can not believe sales people. How long do you think a secret would last with these people.

That is why they are told nothing until it happens. Most sales people will get a 1/2 hour training thing the morning a new device goes on sale. The Bold will not be hitting Verizon for some time but I do understand that RIM is making something just for Verizon. Time will tell but if you want the Bold sooner ranther than later, move to ATT

I just got off the phone with my buddy who is an AT&T retail agent here locally...and who has promised me the first 9000 Bold that hits his store. He just got a feed from AT&T stating that the planned release of the BlackBerry 9000 Bold is the last week of July!!

He also stated that the expected price point is $299 with a 2-year agreement...

Speculation, I know...but at least this info. actually came from AT&T.

IMO Rogers will get the Bold before AT&T and it will be in June. Most likely closer to the end of June though.

Rumors are rumors...and I would have passed this one off as simply one more, but the validity of my friend and that it did, in fact come from AT&T to it's corporate stores and contracted retail agents this morning makes me think this one is the real deal.

I have it from a good source that the distro centers for AT&T already have the Bold in stock with a June 12th availability. RIM is also upgrading BIS on the weekend of the 7th. That coupled with all the price drops of other BBs, sure makes the Bold look like its sooner rather than later!

I don't know who you know, or what you base this statement on...nor do I care. This particular agent has been 100% more reliable regarding information on the release of AT&T phones than any rep in any corporate store that I know of...or any of the know-it-all HoFo members here.
