Ok I know this may sound like I'm an idiot, but this is my first smartphone and I'm lost. So any help is appreciated.

I have a study group for school on Monday June 2 at 4pm. So would I enter this in my calendar or tasks? What I want is a reminder or alert to go off at 1pm to remind me of the study at 4pm. So what application would I use and step by step how do I do this? Please walk me through this. Thanks again guys.

You would want to use the calendar feature.

Heres how i would personally do it:

Home Screen
Open Calendar
Then The Menu Key (The One Next To The Talk Button)
Then New
Then Put In The Subject So In This Case Id Put Study Group
Then Location (Wherever the Study Group is Located)
Start 4pm
End Whenever it is supposed to end
Then Show time as busy leave that alone
then change the reminder 3 hours before event. So it reminds you at 1pm.

When 1pm comes along it will remind you when your appointment is and bring up a dialog box with the event details.

I hope this helps you out.

If you're already using Outlook's calendar, you can simply sync it with your Pearl. Much easier than trying to type in all the information on your phone.
