Which TDMA Phone has the Best Reception?

Which TDMA phone has the best reception? I live near the TN, KY, and VA borders, in what is almost No Man's Cell Phone Land. I have been with U S Cellular for about 2 years then they sell off my area to Eloqui Wireless. Needless to say, they were both TDMA, but U S Cellular wanted to get rid of my area so they could go to CDMA, and not have to change my area too, if I understand it correctly. Eloqui currently plans to keep the area TDMA.

I have heard promises of new towers in my weak signal area ever since I first signed up, but still nothing has happened. I have been blessed with 2 Nokia 5120's...just short of 2 tin cans and string. I have wanted to change carriers, but did not know who else in my area actually had a stronger signal.

I bit the bullet yesterday and signed up with Verizon for 1 year and got a Motorola V120C for $49 in the process. Much to my dismay, I was roaming less than 5 miles from the cell phone store. After roaming, I was blessed with no service. When I got home, I did have service again, but it was only 1 bar of signal strength, and the phone kept going from one network to another. To make a long story short, the Verizon signal in my area is weaker than what I was getting from Eloqui, so I am cancelling the Verizon deal tomorrow and staying with Eloqui.

Since Eloqui is TDMA, I need to know what phone has the best reception on this network so I can *cough* upgrade *cough* from my old 5120's since I don't have a snickers and it looks like I am gonna be here for awhile. As much as I hate to admit it, I do have a better signal and no roaming from Eloqui than Verizon.

In all honesty, I would have preferred to stick with Verizon, but if I can't even get a signal at home, or am roaming, why waste my money. Maybe they will put in another tower closer by and I can switch back sometime.

I went to the carrier's kiosk today to speak to them, but they were closed. At least I did get to see some of the phones they have. They are all Nokia's but I also know they have Motorola's too, but just didn't have them in the showcase. Nokia model #'s 5165, 3360, and 8260 were the ones I could see, so I know they have these.

BTW, this is my first post here I just found the site, but I will be back.
