For me, I already have the best I-Phone out there

a first gen, 16gb model. Works flawlessly, does almost GPS which is fine because I dont get lost that often. I have t-zones for $6 a month and if I am desperate for information, I connect to wifi.

Now dont get me wrong, I understand the appeal of 3G and dedicated GPS but in this case, new is not always better. Not to mention, the cost factor with AT & T for data now mean you do end up paying more for the phone. We wont even get into the contract.

I really really wanted to upgrade to the new model, I was all for it and even was willing to spend another $400 to $500 to get it. But when it was all over, and other features like a better camera and video werent included..... it quickly ended my upgradeitis.

I am usually the first on the block to have the latest and greatest so I guess I wont be wearing that title anymore.

And realize please how hard that last sentence is for me to say....

I agree. The new IPhone, along with the plan rates just doesn't do it for me. The ONLY thing that would make me consider purchasing a new one is if they increased the storage capacity to 32gb... even then... I don't think I'd buy it. I love my Al back!

you missed the best part no contract

Joe you are absolutely correct !!!!!!!!!

whats surprises me is why Apple didnt go further outside of the box with an enthusiast version, sold to anyone. $699 with 32gb, 5mp camera and 3g.

I would have been first in line

Crap, I'd upgrade right now (or, July 11th rather) if I could without agreeing to a 2-year contract extension... That's the deal breaker for me.
