the N95 8G?

Do you guys think the N95 8G still has better features than the new iPhone 3G?

Is iphone just for looks? and the wow factor?

Why? You think the N95 isn't good looking or have any wow factor? I agree it is a little boring and cheep looking but you are being too hard on the N95 as it is a decent phone.

N95 8G (Black one) has better features than the iPhone 3G and this was for the past 7 months, but it is cheap looking and too chunky!

iPhone 3G is just so dman sexy looking! serious wow factor but features let it down again, no video recorder, no 3G live camera talking...such a shame basic options not on there

Well to each his/her own but then again the iPhone is now much cheaper than an N95 8GB isn't it? You really expect them to be equals on the spec sheet?

not on a plan in europe hahahaha. Remember that is a subsidized price for the iphone now, the n95 is bought wiithout a contract and without a data plan needed here in the u.s.

I know apple is new to the phone market, Nokia has the N96 coming out very soon and is always ahead of the game but that's Nokia and I have never puchased a non Nokia mobile before until probably the new iPhone which I will have to wait for an unlocked one or pay as you go on 02 as im with voda with 12 months to run on my contract!

didnt he test it against the n95-1 which only has EDGE for the USA? if so, that's pretty lame honestly. there is an n95-3 and -4 with ATT 3G bands. i'm actually doing browser load times right now on my n95 8GB on 3G with ATT, but i dont know which sites to use and what to compare against! i'm using wifi cause 3G is out at my house.

no its not really cheaper. the n95 is free with a new contract. also, the new 3g iphone price is subsidized, while the n95 price in the USA is not subsidized.

put it this way, i can go to a cell phone store in los angeles, and sign new service with an att plan, and walk out with an n95 for less than 100 bucks. same deal, its subsidized cause the import shop discounts the phone when you sign a contract. you think the new iphone is 199 if you want to buy it full price without contract? i bet not

HAD the iPhone 3G officially been available UNLOCKED for $800, I would've paid that price.

NOT to resell -- and NOT to use TMO.

The iPhone 3G has something I'd love to use: my O2 SIM.

With the current iPhone -- ALTHOUGH O2 is an "approved carrier", I CANNOT use my O2 SIM on a US iPhone. Actually ... the iPhone won't allow me to use my AT&T POSTPAID SIM that I use on my RAZR2 V9.

Had the iPhone 3G been unlocked, I would've been able to use my O2 SIM. And BETTER STILL -- I would've been able to use UK 3G when traveling.

Also, with my Nokia N95 8GB, I can use my Apple iPhone SIM and get 3G data for the SAME PRICE I pay for iPhone data.

Interestingly enough -- an AT&T prepaid SIM can access 3G data too. I read that prepaid users can pay $20 per month for unlmited data.

Bottom line: the N95 may cost $600 more, but it allows me to use more features (and cheaper).

But again, I would've gladly paid the premium for an iPhone 3G that allows me to use my O2 SIM. Or my other AT&T SIM for that matter.

N95 8GB are free in europe on contract? $199 is THE MOST any provider can charge but in the UK they already have free iPhone plans for the 3g.
