Hi,

I'm a newbie and glad to be on board with all of you !

I'm planning to buy a cell in the next few months, and I'm debating between the NOKIA N95 and the New IPhone 3G. I want good Audio (mp3)/Video and GOOD bluetooth technology!

Can someone Help me with my choice?

Thanks in advance,

Marc.

Go with the N95 if you want good bluetooth...

unless you need the 3.5"/Touchscreen... i'd say N95...

Yeah, the N95 has stereo bluetooth, the iPhone doesn't. Go for the N95.

Hands down, the N95 is the best bet. You can have you stereo bluetooth, and your 8gb's of memory depending on which version you get. Not to montion that 5mp camera with the auto focus.

N95-3/4 if you live in the US or Canada. N95-1/2 or N82 if you live in Europe/Asia.

Don't forget that the N95 is going to be more expensive than the iPhone now...especially if you want the 8GB version.

Sorry for this naive question but what is stereo bluetooth? I thought bluetooth just meant an earpiece.

Bluetooth has different profiles (headset, serial, PAN, and etc). The iPhone bluetooth is limited to headset profile. Stereo bluetooth = A2DP, which allows you to listen to music on stereo with compatible bluetooth headset (stereo).

N95 bluetooth covers almost all BT profiles thus allows you to tether, listen to music in stereo, transfer files between phones, and etc.

stereo bluetooth is awesome. its just like like you think, stereo sound in both ears. i use a stereo BT headset with my n95 and the sound quality is excellent.

now i will say that the iphone has better sound thru the wired headset compared to the n95's wired headset. but once i put on stereo BT the sound quality is way better on my n95 than with the crappy wired headset. couldnt be happier.

Cool, but doesn't that DRAIN the N95 battery? I've heard that bluetooth is a KILLER for battery life. How much time can you listen to music without charging the battery??

Thanks,

Marc.

yeah i presume it does kill battery. i usually listen in my car (with charger) or at the gym, so i dont test how long i can go. i imagine a couple hours at most. but the beauty is that the headset is also used for calls, so even without playing music i still use the headset for long calls.

its a nokia BT headset, so it uses the same charger as the n95 which is very nice.

I use stereo bluetooth headphones for at least four hours a day on my 5700, and it only drops the battery one more bar than if I wasn't using them.
