Ok, ive tried to read up on threads here but everyone says the same..it will be out in oct. may. end of june. all i want to know is if there's a real way to get GPS Work on this phone before the actual release comes out from sprint/htc. if so please point me to a thread/site that has the directions to do so! If not i guess ill just have to wait alongside with you guys. Do you really have to buy a external bluetooth adaptor for this to work?

reflash your rom with the hacked altel rom from XDA, all the hacked files and tweaks needed are cooked into the rom

I read all about flashing and am pretty computer "savy" but am scared im gonna "brick" my phone. So the rom you guys loaded is wm 6.1? After you flash to a new rom does GPS just work with say..the tom tom application or do you still have to do some tweaks/downloading before you can actually get it to work?

In a nutshell, use unlocker 2.31 > flash to 3.37.10 > use unlocker 2.31 > flash to 3.37.15 or any other ROM of your pick.

Yes, I have GPS enabled on my CDMA Touch and it's been working like a charm for over a week now.

yeah, im sure you dont wanna hear another date, but its supposed to be the 20th now. although like a week ago it was supposed to be the 15th. so we'll see how that one works out >.>

sigh..well i appreciate all of you guys input! hmm i guess ill try to go ahead and get this gps working now..although waiting 2-3 months can't hurt either. just would really like gps b.c im one of the guys whos sense of direction is Sh*t lol. anyway once again thanks for all your input!

It is not that difficult just download the rom http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=26114 it is the one that says origional rom. Just extract it and launch it.make sure active sync or windows connect is connected to your touch. follow the on screen instructions. it takes about 20 minutes. after it reboots and you allow customization, you need to run http://www.box.net/shared/static/jk3xpkwwg0.zip. this needs to be run from the touch. You do not need to use any other software!!!!! make sure you use PIM backup (freeware) to back up your comtacts!!!!
