Mac Users: Help me pick an iSync-compatible GSM phone

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I'm done with "Swiss Army" knife phones. I want something basic that excels at talking & texting. But first, it has to work flawlessly with OS X's Address Book and iCal. Whether the iSync compatibility is native or requires a plug-in, I don't care, as long as it works flawlessly.

These are my additional must-haves
These are my nice-to-haves-but-not-deal-breakers
Here's everything I don't care about at all
So I basically need a SE T637 (what I'm using now - my other phones are temporarily retired) with quad-band, a better display, up-to-date Bluetooth, and improved earphone and antenna

Ah, I see. Thanks (for nothing)!

I guess you could look through http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/

i know you want something more basic but all the nokia symbian phones work flawlessly with isync on your mac

i love my n95 and its perfect syncing with osx address book and ical.
id look at an n or e series...

No offence, but the N series is stupid if all you want is a basic phone. Why pay for WiFi or a 5MP camera?

I would look at the Sony Ericsson W810i or W610i. Small, great for texting (the W810i's is the best I have ever used), excellent reception, great voice quality and a great UI. Plus Syncing with iSync is easy and quick.

I wouldn't say the N-Series is stupid...though I would say it's overkill. There are several Nokia "number" phones that run S60, and they would be good choices if you can deal with a standard numeric keypad. The E70 is a good texting phone, as is the upcoming E71.

I currently use BitPim to sync my cell phone but I do not like having to go through a multi step process to get my events and contacts updated. Does anyone know of a Verizon phone that will sync through iSync?

I am seriously thinking about paying the early termination fee on my plan in order to pick up the iPhone.

Thanks Steve
