Q9 Free GPS?

Hi, i just bought a Q9, and was wondering if there is an app or a hack that will enable me for free GPS support. i really dont want to pay $10 for gps.

Nav4All is one. It gives you turn by turn directions and other stuff that a typical GPS program does. It's free, so it won't be very pretty.

but does it use anything from my data plan? will my provider charge me for using it?

the reason i ask is because Fido offers GPS nav for $10 a month. i dont want to see my dataplan bill run up a lot for using gps

cool.. never heard of Nav4All but it seems to work just fine. I use Garmin but there's other out there too. Yes, this program also uses your data plan but it doesn't matter. If you have one then any application can use it. There is no seperate charge.

Google Maps and Live Search are also free but you need internet on the phone (i'm guessing you do since you have an PDA phone already) to download the maps from Google/Microsoft though. The good thing about it is that Microsoft's version has an option to cache the maps it downloaded to your SD card so that it doesn't have to be online to get them. That way if you lost signal you can still navigate.
