Sup all, my girlfriends Iphone touch screen is acting up.It is an unlocked iphone and Everything works fine on the phone except for a lower dead strip, only half of the screen is touch sensitive. Can anybody help me

Nope, unless you have tried a full restore, Apple is your best friend, BUT with an unlocked iPhone, your screwed.

i have an at&t sim in it. I havent tried a full restore, will that mess anything up???

I just had mine replaced today for the same reason. Dead strip in the bottom of the screen. Just restore it and take it to the Apple store They will not know if it is jail broken. All they checked for was water damage by inserting an ear scope in to the head phone jack hole. Apperently there must be water damage material in the head phone jack. I got a brand new iPhone with 28 days left on my hardware warranty. I even took it apart completely before going to the Apple store. I had a part left over and they were none the wiser.

Call AT&T and make an apt. at the Apple store. No questions and a new iPhone.

i was gonna take it to the apple store, but its showing under my serial number that the phone has not been activated. I lost my receipt. BUT apple's website also says "Please note that warranty service is not dependent on activating your iPhone". Im gonna have to restore it and virginize it. Maybe i'l get lucky
