Moving on from the Samsung t809

I'm looking for a new phone & carrier, and am having trouble deciding between a few phones. Since I love my t809 so much I was thinking of going with Samsung again.
I've been looking at the d807 and the general opinion is that it's a better version of the t809. However, since I'm leaning towards ATT I've also been toying with the idea of getting an iPhone.. does anyone know anything about the Instinct?
If anyone has recommendations, opinions, etc. of any of these phones (or others I haven't heard of), please share.

Qualities I like in a phone:
-durability (my t809 is more solid than a brick, I swear)
-slider phone is preferred (iPhone is the only one I've considered that's not a slider)

iPhone is a solid upgrade. I had the 809 and it lasted me forever before I sold it. Sammy has so many sliders out right now, it's not even funny, and most of them are super slim too. Right now, I think their Soul U900is their flagship, but it will cost you a bit of money since you are getting it unlocked.

Do you not like any of T-Mobile's Samsung Sliders?

If you're thinking of moving to ATT, by all means get an iPhone.
