Just wondering if HTC is waiting for T-Mobile USA to roll out its 1700Mhz 3G before releasing the North American version of the Diamond and Pro?

Is this why the N. American delay?

If that is the excuse, it is just plain silly. TMobile USA only has 3G in very, very, very, very, very, very limited areas. NYC is the only market that I am aware of where TMobile's 3G network exists currently.

AT&T has a much broader, although still very limited 3G network. If it is released in the US as carrier branded, it will go to AT&T most likely.

The biggest issue I see holding up a US release is the lack of the 850Mhz spectrum on the phone. Once HTC 'upgrades' the device to Quad-band by adding the 850Mhz spectrum, it will be released in the US.

er... replace 900 with 850. I don't think there will be a quad band.
