Hi All! Wanted to thank the “powers that be” for an awesome site! I have searched and found excellent help many times! In the last few days I have searched and have not found any posts with the same problem as mine.
I have just switched to the HTC Mogul and with a few exceptions I’m very pleased. Upon initial installation of ActiveSync received an error code (support code: 85010014) which I corrected with a un-install and re-install of Outlook. The ActiveSync will run without any errors but will not recognize/load my Contacts from Outlook on my laptop. My contacts were created in Outlook via Motorola Phone Tools with a previous phone. When I run ActiveSync it indicates it was successful but the only thing on the phone is two contacts and two favorites that were in the phone. I have un-installed and re-installed ActiveSync several times with the same results.
What am I doing wrong? Outlook is set up to be the “default” mail on my laptop, but I don’t use it as my mail application. Is the Outlook file in the wrong location/folder? Must Outlook actually have an account set up to work properly? Should I back up the Contacts and Calendar then delete the file on the 6800 and the laptop and start from scratch?
Any assistance/help would be greatly appreciated!

This issue has been resolved. Evidently Outlook “bonded” and “locked” itself to software (Motorola Phone Tools) for a previous phone. I was able to back up the data and uninstall Phone Tools and everything is transferring properly now via ActiveSync. It only took me 4 days to figure it out! Thanks for looking!
