PDANET and Q9 Global AT&T

I've been testing PDANet for a couple of days, to see how tethering with the AT&T Q9 Global works out.

Everything seems fine so far, although the trial version is limited to a (admittedly high slot) GPRS/EDGE connection of some kind.

So, two questions.

Does it work well with UMTS/HSDPA connections when you buy the full software?

Has anybody noticed any issues with PDANet and AT&T or the Q9?

If you are tethering via USB, you DO NOT need PDANet at all.

Use your File Manager (make sure your computer is set to see system files), go to Windows directory, find IntShrUI.exe make shortcut and put it in start menu. Start IntShrUI, hit left soft key "connect"

I don't know if PDANet can handle tethering via BT, but for USB don't waste money when you have the tool right on your phone - it's just hidden because Internet Sharing is as inconvenient for AT&T as is using PDANet.

I might be a little confused.

I've created an IntShrUI shortcut on the start menu for the phone.

I set the connection to Modem.

I can get to IntShrUI and connect.

The phone evidently connects to the Internet while tethered, but the computer does not seem to be using the phone's Internet connection.

Thank you for your help. I got it working. :-)

My mistake seems to have been leaving the cable broadband connected, and the computer was preferring that to the Q9's connection somehow.

With the broadband disconnect, I am tethered via the Q9 now.
