I Never Thought I'd Want an iPhone, but I'm Getting One Tomorrow!

I've been using my HTC Tilt primarily for internet access, email, and text messaging. The phone works great with many great features, but the touch screen is a little too small and annoying at times especially when driving.

I got my Tilt from my cousin. He couldn't stand it because he just likes to text and send picture messages. All of the other added features he didn't use. I got it from him, unlocked it (well my friend did), and I'm now using it on T-Mobile.

Well, now my cousin is sick of his 16gb iPhone mainly because he loves to send/receive MMS messages, and it seems like the programming out there along with the ATT provider doesn't really work for him.

I'm buying his unlocked iPhone off of him by buying him a Moto RAZR V9 3G phone off of ebay along with some other RAZR for his girlfriend (anything over $400 he's gonna pay me). So basically, I'm getting his 16gb iPhone for $400, while I try to sell my Tilt.

Honestly, I used to smack talk the iPhone back before it was jailbroken and unlocked. It seemed like Apple had some kind of Nazi hold on that phone. After seeing the potential in customization and unlocking features along with playing around with it when over at my cousin's, it seems like the ideal choice for me considering the work I do as a contractor.

I have to say that the iPhone is pretty pimp, and I'm a changed man. I still wouldn't be caught dead with a Mac computer, but their phone is the shiznit!

No particular questions or problems within this thread, just stating that I previously disliked the iPhone because of Apple's Nazi approach to it. Now with all of the potential of it being jailbroken and unlocked, I'm liking it much more.

my first take of the iPhone was that it was big compared to my chit plam. After seeing my friend's iPhone before he unlock it, it got one myself. Love it ever since. Don't think it is big anymore.

Well, all the stuff I do works perfect with my Vista (yes, I'm one of the few that are extremely happy with it), so why change something that simply works? Many of my friends have Mac's and i just hate it. For a cell phone, the reason the iPhone works so well, in my opinion, is how amazing they made the touchscreen so accurate. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind even going to a WM phone if it had the touch screen hardware specs of the iPhone.

So true, I am a converted Mac OSX user. Now to complete the circle I must have the Iphone (3g). Also for the guys wondering about why he wouldn't just wait for the new one, he has T-mobile listed as his carrier. So technically as of now the 3g one wouldn't work.

Us T-Mobile guys dont have the 3G band that the "NEW" iPhone uses. So, I honestly think its smarter for us to continue on with our "OLD" iPhones

I do have to admit..the new shiny black is kinda cool though

know if the new one can be unlocked?? You'll be happy with your 16gb.
