Hey...

I am wondering if its worth selling the original unlocked/jailbroken iphone for the 3G version?

The origianl iphone has many lacking features...but allows you not to be on a contract that is 70$/month....but im wondering....at least for canadian subscribers if any of you are going to change over to the new 3G version!!!

You know the pros and cons. Only you can determine how much each of them is worth to you and whether you'll end up with a net positive or negative.

Here is my example. I had my 8gb since June 30th of last year not the 29th since I do not believe in staying in line!! I had it and got it replaced twice and kept it in top shape. I just sold in in early May for $400 since nobody knew how much the new one would be or what it might have. I knew I would get the new one and with $400 in my pocket or 375 minus the fees is good enough. I still have the $100 credit from apple so I was ready.

I missed the damn phone since the day I shipped it out and tried every other phone in the meantime. After the announcement I knew what was coming but didn't want to wait the long month in addition to the month I already waited so I went to ebay and picked up a cheap 4gb for an awesome price of $190. I will use that since I never cancelled my plan till the new one comes out. You must have read the price you pay for the 3g and you know the extra $10 per month and possible if no SMS included in the dataplan.

Since I believe you said you were in Canada I don't know the 3G area and see if you first have 3g before you jump as all you will have is edge and the gps.

I will keep the 4gb till I am 100% sure I want the 3G and I can always go to it since the money for $199 is still there from the old phone and I can even use the $100 apple credit and get it cheaper. The current iphone you use in canada is hacked and is not under warranty so if i were you I would get the new one just for that fact.

get a new one and sell the old one, then when a new one comes out do the same thing. Thats how you save money when it comes to technology. 10 dollars more a month isnt that much. By the time you equal the price of your original iphone there will be another one out so dont really worry about that.

3g is worth it that is if you have 3g in your area
