Bluetooth Update

I'm aware that these are completely different platforms, but i doubt the hardware in the sidekick is more "sophisticated" than the iphone.

I imagine Bluetooth profiles are universal accross the board (they must adhere to some standard) maybe just a little here a little there but if you can do it over the air on the sidekick why can't you do it over the air on the iphone, I don't even care if its over the air actually it could even require me to connect to itunes and do a wired update.

same goes for the other goodies the sidekick is getting

Camera will now support video recording
bluetooth file exchange enabled
etc...

Why should they not? Other than the free marketing from people having white earphones, i don't know why apple wouldn't allow A2DP.

This is the one reason I refuse to upgrade my ipod from the first model I purchased (the color ipod).

I want A2DP for one reason: sending ringtones to my bluetooth headset instead of just a beep. I like keeping my phone on silent and leaving my headset on. With custom ringtones for a lot of people, I can know whether to answer or not and who's calling without having to look at the phone.

Not sure if this can be implemented without A2DP. It's something I miss from my Windows Mobile and Blackberry.

That works without A2DP

The iphone is so incredibly crippled, it really pisses me off. Speaking of BT profiles can I PLEASE get serial support for my BT GPS unit? How about some simple DUN access for tethering?!

Sorry - I love the browser and interface of the phone but it's severe shortcomings will probably force me back to WM. Maybe I'll try Blackberry or Symbian.

Ahh, it sure is pretty though!

Well whatever is needed for that, I wish Apple would implement that BT profile properly
