Jabra BT2000 and P800....

Alright, i have searched specifically in this forum. So here the problem. I have the BT2000 headset and a p800, as well as a t68i. Now when i pair up with my t68i the screen on the phone shows the bluetooth symbol and the <> next to it constantly showing a connection. Now when i pair it up to the p800 the pairing works but after about 3 sec i loose the <> symbol next to the BT symbol. So my headset won't stay connected. Now when i hit the phone button on my headset, it'll reconnect and after a short few secs beep me for my voice dialing. But the magic word, voice answer and busy commands don't work. Why will my p800 and headset stay connected? Why do i have to keep reconnecting them, thus loosing funtionality? Any help appreciated, thanks.

Can't really comment on any of the voice dialing features as I haven't tried them yet. However, I use a BT200 with my P800 quite a bit, and have never had any problems between the two. I also noticed that after I upgraded to R2D, my P800 always connects to the headset (as it should) when in auto mode. Before upgrading, the phone would only connect around 2 out of 3 times.

Sounds like you may have either a defective headset or something wrong with bluetooth on your P800.

Well i know i have current firmware. So thats not the issue, and bluetooth works when i connect it to my T68i. And its odd, whenever the phone rings it'll automatically connect to the headset and the headset will start ringing w/out me having to push anything but the button to answer it. Or when i want to dial out using voice activated dialing all i have to do is push the phone button on the headset and after a few secs it beeps and i say the name, its just since it won't stay connect 24-7 the magic word and all that jaz don't work.... And whats the advantage of Auto mode? as opposed to always on? thanks

I have posted photos and instructions on how to setup your bluetooth headset before. Do a search and you will have your questions answered and mysteries revealed

Well after conversing with Mark, those of you with a Jabra BT2000 you must and i mean must record your voice tags in the most absolute quiet environment. Thats the trick for anyone who is having problems getting their voice tags to work properly. Everything else is working properly. Magic word doesn't work properly but thats expected since the headset is in standby mode all the time, but just push the button on the headset and it'll wake up and beep you for your voice command. Mark has posted very good instructions with pictures on these following threads:

Again thanks mark for the help. And for those having trouble read those two threads first then go from there. Having already read them before contacting mark it made it a lot easier to get the situation worked out. Thanks again!
