Hi everyone,

So my Curve is about 5 month old. I have Messenger installed & a few contacts.

For some reason I am not able to add contacts. They show as pending until I delete them. It does not matter if I send the request using their pin or email, it never makes it to their phone..

Today I had a friend send me a request via email & the link to accept was not clickable.

The att rep wants me to wipe out the entire phone & reload all standard software to try to fix the problem.

Is this really necessary? Has anyone ever experienced this issue, or know of a possible solution without starting from scratch?

I have just recently ran into this problem where one of my contacts was accidentally deleted and for some reason we could still send each other BB messages but neither of us would show up listed in the other persons contact list.

Then we accidentally ended our bb messenger conversation so our names didn't show up at all.

Anyways, after trying a few methods this just worked for us:
1. If you and the other person are listed as "pending" on each other's contact lists delete the pending invites.

2. Then one of you choose add contact.
3. Scroll up to the very top of the contact list and choose 'USE ONCE'.
4. Then pick the option to 'ADD BY PIN'
5. Type in the other persons PIN and send the request.

The other person should recieve the invite with the PIN, once they accept, both usernames should show up and be added to the blackberry messenger contact list.

..I've also heard that some people delete the entire contact that they are trying to add out of each other's address book and then re-add them, and then one person sends the other person a request via PIN from the address book (and that the contact in address book should have PIN associated with it and stored).

The first option of steps should work, I have not tried the deleting and re-adding contact yet.
