Hey guys. Hope everyone is well. I have been having problems with one of my Gmail accounts to my BB Curve. I've tried sending books, recreating the account, making sure imap is enabled and I still can't figure it out. I have 2 gmails set up and one gets everything fine and the other doesn't. Does anyone have any suggestions or is it just me? Maybe tmo or gmail is having some problems? Thanks in advance!!

I use Gmail for my account on my BB as well. However, I set mine up so it sends my Gmail to my BB email address (@blackberry.vzw.net). This way I Gmail is "pushed" to my BB instantly instead of getting delayed emails.

All you have to do is forward all email to you BB email within your Gmail options.

Was your password entered correctly when you set it up on your /bis webpage ?

gmail should be instant, redsoxfan. My Gmail gets to me before it gets to my outlook inbox!

I made sure that my password was correct, however, that didn't seem to fix the problem. Does anyone else have any other hints? Tia!

Hello,

Firstly I have Gmail set up and zero issues, delays, hiccups, nadda.

FWIW, having IMAP enabled is not significant. It is having POP access that is significant (or whatever that other connection option it's called).

When you get so convolutedly mixed up in the troubleshooting ladder., best is to wipe the board clean.

remove your gmail account from BIS/BES. Log into your Gmail account, and disable the pop access.

Log out., Log back in., enable it., then re-add to Bi/eS.

If it STILL doesn't work...then you know it's not something on your end, and have to call in the big dawgs.

Good luck.

Thanks bubble.tea! I'll give that a shot and see what happens! Thanks again!

There is no need to set your email up this was as Gmail is automatically pushed instantly on a Blackberry.

Use your @blackberry.vzw.net email address to make a POP email, pushed on your BB.

Gmail and Yahoo accounts are automatically push on a BB.

Nope. Still nothing. I reset everything in gmail and in my tmo bis settings to no avail. Like I said, my other gmail account is working perfectly but I just can't figure out why this one is giving me problems. Anyone else have anything that can help? Thanks again!

Did you enable POP in the Gmail account?

I prefer to use IMAP. However, I did enable both POP and IMAP in Gmail.

WHOA...you actually did all that...and it STILL didn't fix? . Man, You're screwed. what in heavens did you do??? You MUST'VE changed a setting...especially if all the other gmails work...how many do you have? . Changed something INSIDE THAT particular Gmail acct that is.

Haha. I have no idea what I did to break it. BUT! I figured out how to FIX it! w00t!

1. Removed all settings from Gmail and BIS.
2. Re-enabled/entered all settings in Gmail and BIS.
3. Ran the diagnostic from inside the BB... Under radios there's some kind of diagnostic.
4. Apparently that re-registered the BB and it started working...haha who knew?

Thanks for everyone who helped me out! Hope this helps anyone else!
