What happens when 2.0 software comes out?

I will want to have the new App Store on my iPhone, but what will happen when I try to update when my current phone is jailbroken? Will I have to un jailbreak it and if so how would i do that? I am sorry for being such a newbie on the subject.

The iPhone 2.0 software is a total wipe of the 1.X. It will do a restore once officially released.

So does that mean old iPhones in authorized countries are now unlocked, or locked to the local carriers, or just plain Locked to ATT?? (S.O.L for all early adopters)

I would be very careful and wait to update. Seems that many people have bricked their iphone because they were too impatient to wait.
