Hey Everyone,

I need your help!

I tried activating my bluetooth on my blackberry 8800 and after several minutes with just the hour glass on the screen my blackberry no longer became responsive (with the exception of the alt arrow coming on when i press the button)

I tried a hard reset (taking the battery and sim out for 30 secs) and it just brough me back to the same screen (hour glass and occasionally the cingular boot up screen)

Is it normal that it takes this long to boot back up?

Is there anything I can do about it?

Please help

thanks!

my 8110 takes atleast 2-3 minutes to boot up...sometimes longer

Why do some BB's take really long to boot up while others are pretty fast?

My 8100 would load up really fast even with all the 3rd party apps I loaded up on it. My newer 8120 on the other hand takes forever to boot up with hardly anything loaded on it.

I full cold boot will ALWAYS take a long time. If your device booted up quickly, it was not a full cold boot.

You got to understand that the processor is slow and the device has got to load it's entire operating system from scratch. Just put it in your holster and do not let it bother you!

The more apps you have on the phone the longer it takes to load too, I've noticed.

Thanks for the responses everyone...

A friend of mine says that becuz it was stuck frozen on the hour glass screen and the reboots arent changing he thinks that my OS is either corrupted or hasnt been installed correctly.

So since i had nothing on my blackberry anyways I am just going to install 4.5..hopefully it works.
