Mogul vs. Touch Pro

Hey, I was all set and ready to get a Mogul within the next month. I have fallen in love with the phone.

But, then my friend sent me a link to the Touch Pro, which he describes as the Mogul 2. Although I look at it as more of a Diamond than a Mogul, it has me confused about what to do.

My only hang up is on the specs of the two phones. I don't care about Touch features, in fact I'd prefer my phone WITHOUT Touch. It's a gimmick in my opinion. It isn't really faster, and a lot of the time goes wrong.

So, can you guys compare the two, and tell me whether I should go ahead with the Mogul, or will I regret it?

BTW-I actually like the Mogul having all those physical buttons/switch and it's form factor.

Touch Pro has faster processor, and more RAM&ROM (288 and 512 respectively) and 3.2mp camera compared to 3mp

Yes, I know the specs, I thought I said that, maybe not.

What I mean is this:

Is the performance of the Touch Pro going to be THAT much better than the Mogul?

AND

Is my dislike for a the form factor and actual "touch" buttons of the Touch Pro bridge the gap in me deciding I want the older Mogul instead?

1. Yes
2. i dont know if i fully understand your question but if you dont like the form factor dont get it. and the Touch pro does have real(tactile) buttons on the front.

I like the design of the Mogul better. How it looks. I can't stand this glossy black perfectly shaped look all the phone makers are going for now.

The pictures I've seen of the phone don't look like it has physical buttons. The directional pad looks physical, but the home, back, send, and menu buttons look like touch buttons, and eerily remind me of the LG Chocolate.

It is also missing all the buttons and the scroll wheel that the Mogul has on its side.

Well, if you get the Mogul NOW, you can't get the Touch Pro later (unless you are rich enough to get another contract)

I'd say wait for the Touch Pro out. You don't know how good it's gonna be; for all you know it could still be in the makings right now. The large VGA screen should make it easy to scroll (or touch), so you don't have to worry too much about physical buttons.

So then when the Touch Pro comes out, you'd then be able to actually compare the Mogul and the Touch Pro and see what you REALLY want.

Cheers

Wait if you can, but if you really need/want a phone now, go for the mogul and you'll probably be happy.
