I can NOT wait for 7/11

not only do w get to get out 3G's but every one will stop fighting about pricing and we can start unlockin hackin and all that stuff...

Well, I'm the opposite. I could care less about hacking it. IMO, the current/factory spec Iphone is buggy enough(girlfriend's widgets rarely ever work, and her gmail takes forever(even on WiFi) and mine likes to crash under heavy use) to make me even consider customizing it, or hacking it.

I am curious to know about ATT's pricing. I am curious to know, if they can just drop my current Iphone plan, and include the 3G plan in with my Broadband Connect plan that I have for my laptop. Or at least work out a deal of some sort.(yeah right )

I may or may not get the 3G Iphone. Guess it depends. The price for the phone isn't bad. I am anxiously awaiting the Exchange support though. Being that I never could get OWA to work(just hangs after authentication).
Anybody know what the server sie requirments are for Exchange?

We're running 2k3 SP2...

I'm just excited for the 2.0 software and the app store!!!

yeh idc about hacking either i just find it intersting but every day i come on hea and theres 100 new post about pricing i just want it to end. but if they dont let everyone upgrade you kno there will be many people cryin on here so maby it wont end 7/11..if they dont let me upgrade im goin to VZW and getin the glide

The wait is difficult.
For current iPhone owners, it's more about 2.0 software like duddy said. But they have an iPhone already so I think the wait isn't much of a big deal. After all, there isn't a whole lot different. Sure GPS will be fun to play with.
But for people like me who have been waiting over a year (waiting for 3G and EAS) it's torture. It doesn't help that I went down to Apple the other day to play with the 1st iPhone making me want it even more.

I'm kind of sick of the slow inefficient IMAP and HTML email rendering that leaves a lot to be desired on WM. The same Google IMAP on the iPhone is immensely better.
I'm not so interested in hacking. I just want the iPhone.

The price arguments are kind of funny.

Well the less I visit this board and less I pay attention to iPhone news, the easier the wait becomes. I just gotta focus on other things and before I know it 7/11 will be here.

Both Exchange 2003 and 2007 will run that. However, if you want to go to Exchange 2007, you need to be running on 64 bit hardware and OS. Exchange 2003 can run on either 32 or 64 bit hardware, but can ONLY run on a 32 bit host.

keep in mind that HTML email is ONLY possible wit Exchange 2007. Same goes for Server Side searching.. except I'm not sure if the iPhone will support server searching.. I know WM6 does.

I completely agree. I'm so tired of the slow, dawdling performance of my WinMo PDAs and the cartoon-like crap served up by my Palm UIs. I can't wait for the iPhone to finally make my mobile life *look* good

Sorry, but I'm an iPhone newb ... are you saying that HTML email (say, via Google IMAP) requires that you're running Exchange 2007 on a home computer? I thought the iPhone supported HTML email out of the box.

I have to hand it to Apple. I think announcing the phone a month ahead of it's release date was a killer marketing technique. I think that if they had launced in on June 9th I would have thought about getting and maybe I would have but maybe not. Now it's something I can't have until July 11th and I'm 100% sure I'm getting it. I've been waiting for a 3g version as I am a verizon customer right now and don't think I would have been happy with the slower connection speed.

Hats off to you Steve Jobs, it is both a love and a hate relationship we have.

Your soooo good and yet you make me wait... grrrrrr

I try to keep my mind off of it, but reliably every morning, here I am at work reading the forums hahahah oh well

I guess All we can hope for is an early morning release that way I can head over after work and not have to wait in a terrible line.

Cheers Mates

Sorry, HTML email from Exchange sources.. Google and such will work as they did.

Posted by: coldfyre0707

I have been without an iPhone since last week since I sold it and I'm already going nuts. I have nothing to take with me when I'm in the bathroom at work lol.
