Is there a way to set the Pearl 8100 to reflect the time an EMAIL or SMS is SENT rather than when it is received?

When my 8100 has been "OFF", emails and texts will start flooding in when I turn the phone ON. However, I have no way of knowing when the messages were sent. All incoming messages just reflect the time the phone was turned ON.

Texted a friend's MOTOROLA RZR and it shows the time the SMS is sent, rather than when the phone was turned ON.

I've updated to OS 4.5.0.81 but still getting the same problem... Is this normal, or is there a way to fix?

I don't think there is a way this can be done, but would love to hear I am wrong. It is a real pain when coming off a plane, for instance, to have no idea how long an email has been sitting in your inbox.

i know on my curve 8830 in the main message list it shows when the phone was turned on, but in the actual message itself it shows what time it was sent at
