No audio Question

I just bought an unlocked Pearl off of e-bay. It makes calls but neither me or the person i'm calling can hear each other. Am I missing a setting somewhere or is it just broke?

i had a pearl with the same problem. i think its a known issue, but im not too sure. try a search in the forums.

Also if i update the pearls software will it relock the phone?
