Best phone that can get corporate (exchange) email?

I'm looking to get a new phone for work - I presently have an 8525 and hate how slow & buggy it is - I can't decide what to get. I'm not too interested in Blackberries, and whatever phone I do get needs to have decent web access for simple browsing. I also need to be able to connect to a MS Exchange server - unfortunately the LG Vu, my favorite phone from AT&T, doesn't seem to support that

The drvice being Windows based is also a huge plus.

Anyways, right now I'm looking at the Tilt, the Blackjack 2, and the Pantech Duo.

Anybody have any experience with these?

What about the iPhone 3G? Is that coming out any time soon?

I don't know about the tilt, it might give you more problems then the 8525 with being sluggish, HTC didn't include video drivers. If touchscreen isn't a must for you, the BlackJack II is nice. Its snappy, thin, and looks great! Cheap, too!

you upgrade to windows mobile 6 yet or xda developers hacked roms that run smoother? The 8525 should be a sweet device.

I on the other hand have the Blackjack II and i love the device. If you live in an area though with bad reception you might wanna try another device. The motorola Q9H is a good one (reception is killer also) if you can find it.

To each his/her own...but a BB might give you the stability and features you desire. And with the upcoming Bold you might get all the features you desire.

yea i would wait for the bold for 3g. if you dont need fast data then bb curve will be good.

I think you need the iPhone 3G. I tried out email on it at the Apple store as well as my coworker's (accessing a few different IMAP accounts) and email is quite good and SO MUCH nicer to read on the iPhone.
I hope Exchange Activesync works well. I use EAS on my Treo 750 and of course it works very well, but I do need it. So I was holding out on the iPhone for 3G and EAS, which it now has.

If your top things are:
Web, Email (IMAP or Exchange), SMS, and phone calls, well in my opinion the iPhone does these 4 things pretty much better than the WM phones I have.

What it doesn't do is tether, let you install any random 3rd party app like MS Live search, let you install other web browses like Opera, and no Java apps like Opera mini. For me, I can live without those things if the built in web browser is the only one I need.
At least not yet. With the SDK and app store, a lot of programs are coming, maybe even Firefox browser some day.

I'm just saying for you (the OP) I'm pretty much in the same position as you and after giving the iPhone an honest try, I'm ready to go for it. I think you'll like it as long as it's particular limitations aren't deal breakers.

95% of what I do on my phone is 5 things, and the iPhone does those in a way that I think is better than what I have.

I haven't paid any attention to the BB Bold. It's one to consider. I personally had a BB and am not interested in another one.

A BB won't work with Exchange e-mail unless they already have a BB server in place. Better off sticking with Windows Mobile..the Q9h gets killer signal, the BJ2 and Pantech Duo aren't too terrible unless you live in a weak signal area (if you do, stay far away from them).

The Nokia E71 is coming out soon, and you can use Nokia's free Mail For Exchange to connect to your Exchange server. Nokias are also killer in the signal department. However, it's not Windows Mobile (it's S60) but the web browsing experience on S60 is lightyears ahead of Windows Mobile.
