We have seen it dropped, ground into dust, BUT...

Have you ever seen it slide? I had an incident in the bike and I slid over 20 feet and I think my iphone came up in worse shape than I did. I only had a small skinned elbow and both knees skinned pretty good, but the iphone took a good hit, AND still works like a charm shockingly.

Edit: the rest of the screen has some spider cracks, but only the very corner has a touch problem, but still responds to touch.

My iphone was clipped to my left side in a blackberry case, and my ipod was clipped to the outside of my left pants pocket. The ipod case had a scuff, no damage at all. I mostly slid in my back, and surprising enough my helmet never hit the ground either.

I was just being dumb, wanted to see if I could get away from the cops, no other reason, and wiped trying to slow down, skid a little and nudged the edge of a curb and went over.

Oh, if anyone has experience in the area, advice also would be appreciated.

No nagging please, I already know, and had already made the decision to just leave the bike in the impound.

I'll give you $300 for it. I can fix it. My Dad has a mean set of tools.

You ran from the police and all they did was take your bike?

Posted by: Cell2Be

Oh no, they took me in, and charged me with evading like I said.

Omg!!! Rip

No, actually everything works great, just would have to replace the glass and bezel. There are no other flaws at all on it. I will try to get it sold when I get my 3g iphone, surely someone would still be interested since the bezel and glass can be replaced.

Well, they DID eventually have the helicopter there, LATE. I was already down when it showed up. No, they have nothing on me except eluding police. They don't even know how fast I was going, they were guessing, and just asked me how fast I was going. Yeah, like I am going to incriminate myself even more.

I have a bad habit of leaving my iPhone on my lap when watching tv, and when i stand up it'll slide across my room a good 15 or so feet (wooden floors)

thank god for that bulky contour showcase.

Posted by: Cell2Be

Well, mine probably would have been worse if not for the cozip shell. However, since it DID have protection for the back, go figure the back did not even get scratched. I did have an invisible shield on the screen which I THINK did help ....some.

dude, that is just soooooooooo wrong

HAHA! Thanks, I needed a pick me up!

Poor iphone...but what kind of bike was it?

Posted by: trendx

it was a bicycle.

Posted by: Cell2Be

It was an 05' Kawasaki ZX-6R, and sucks to because I JUST put some LED lights all over it, upgraded the brake lines, and installed a clear alternatives integrated tail light. I do not really even know the shape of the bike except that a mirror broke off, and no fluid was spilled, and I did not see any other plastics broken on the ground.

So why are you leaving it in impound?

Posted by: Cell2Be

Just because after this event, joy riding on the bike would not be near as fun, and I STILL have to live with the wife at home. So, it is much easier to just leave it, and not ride again anyway. I have a Prius, so my car is cheaper to driver than the bike anyway. I only got to ride every few weeks anyway, and only for fun.

Probably could not afford to get it out anyway. Currently jobless, going to have to hire an attorney ($1500-$3000), so no telling what cost to get out of impound would be anyway.

The phone kinda looks like the Terminator...

But does it slide?

Posted by: Cell2Be

I would say so, from the force applied to cause that kind of damage I would say a good deal of my body weight was on it, and if that was the case it slid a good 20+ feet.
