I bought Nutridata that runs with Appforgebooster on my phone through the phone, i cannot tell whethere its on the memory stick or on the internal memory. i currently am using a 16mb memory stick that came with it for the external, while i am waiting on my 128mb stick to come in, my questions are:
how can i see where the apps are on the 2 different memory areas,
and
what can i do if and when i find out is on the external and how can i transfer it over to the new 128 ?
thanks in advance , sincerely,
dan
PS i know i can go on "My P800" and see images sounds, media , and docs, but what can i di to see where the apps are and then move them to and fro if need be ?

When I upgraded my MS, I merely copied the contents to my desktop (using the above program, I believe) then copied them back to the new MS.

Dan there's also FileManager available at http://www.my-symbian.com.
That works "internally" on your P800. Another fringe benefit of this program is that it includes a "task manager" that will allow you to shut down running background apps that you don't want running.

thanks, i appreciate it. when you copied the "contents" to your desktop, did you just make folders on the desktop that were the same name as what they are in the Epocware file manager, and then copy all the contents into each individual folder and then copy those whole folders right onto the new MS ?

Actually, I now remember what I did. I have a card reader (drive F) attached to my desktop. I merely created a folder on my PC called MS and dragged the contents of the MS into that folder.
I put the new MS in the card reader and copied the contents back. Easy enough to do with the Epocware product. I don't believe the PC Filemanager actually allows a drag and drop. You'd have to SELECT your entire memory stick copy then paste the contents to whatever temporary folder you've made on your PC.
Pop in the new card and go the other way. Should be a snap.

but if i dont have a mem stick reader , should i just make individual folders and then copy them all to the desktop and then put the new card in and copy those folder i made to it ?

also if i dont have file manager is there anyway to close apps that are running ?

No other way for FREE. Handy Day is an app that will also do it. As suggested to you before, you should spend some time at my-symbian and see what's there.
They have a decent forum, too with a working search function.
But there is no native way to shutdown running apps in your P800 short of powering off.
