I bought an unlocked iPhone...

...unfortunately, I don't know how to check how it was unlocked. Is there a menu somewhere that tells me?
Also, I don't know what I can do and can't do with it safely. Will it go crazy if iTunes detects it as unlocked?

It doesn't really matter how it was unlocked initially because all you have to do is restore it in itunes and unlock it using the method of your choice, i prefer pwnage (or winpwn if you're unlucky enough to use windows).

but wasn't there a risk of bricking the phone on the early ones with 1.0.2 unlocked.. or something...??
