As for Rev A, if you ##778 it and go through the menus you'll now see some new ones at the bottom and one of them has Rev A Enabled there. I'm not in a Rev A area so I don't know for sure if it works but it's there in the EPST when it wasn't before. Generally I'm getting (and was before) 1300 down, 350 up on a good test, on average 1150 down, 250 up. To get your SPC just check your phone's file directory, you'll find a PPST58 file, open it, SPC is right in it. Using the "official" sprint ROM I know that we had to set the hardware com port to 3 under "External GPS" in the settings menu, on this one it defaults to 4 and that works for me. Hope any of this helps, and I know I've posted this a few times but just trying to help out some who don't read all the posts. I'll stop now, I promise, just really happy with this ROM, official or not. RG |

It is much harder to get a signal than with the Sprint roms though. With a few programs, TomTom being one of them, you can check the Satellite status. If you can see even one grey circle, your GPS is working, just not locking. Give it 15 mins in the open outside and watch to see if anything happens. May or may not. Programs like google maps aren't very helpful in figuring out if it's working or not, unless it's working well. |

I tried but it just keeps trying to aquire the satellites. Basically, I wanna use the GPS with Google Maps and not the Telus program cause it's free and better. 2nd, Is there any way to change the programs in the cube? I know there are other cubes out there, but I don't mind the stock cube, I just don't need Telus Navigator, Telus Mobile Email, or Pocket Express. (on a kinda related subject, if you know how to get TME off the Today screen that would also be great). Any insight? |

I let windows manage my gps in settings and set google maps to use windows settings. Took about 10 seconds and it acquired 5 sats. If you guys have any more specific questions just ask me but thats the jist of what I did. By far the easiest process Ive personally found since hovering in these forums looking for an easy GPS/Rev A solution for my touch. |
