Problem with P800 camera going off intermittently

I've had two P800s in the last two weeks, both with the same phone firmware R1D, and both have the same problem. The camera intermittently goes off and just shows a white Sony Ericsson screen. Does anyone know if this is a problem with the firmware? And if so is it fixed in the latest version?

I haven't installed any programs on the second one yet so that can't be causing the problem (I've only had it a few hours).

I would appreciate any help with this. I'll take it to a Sony Ericsson centre to upgrade the firmware if I know it will cure it.

The other firmware versions are: bluetooth R2c, organiser R1G05, CDA R2A01.

I have R2F on my phone and that happens. It's quite rare for me but it still happens. I turn the phone on and off to get rid of it.

Thanks for the info. I'm taking it in to get the latest firmware on Friday anyway, to get delivery reports etc.

It worries me a bit that there is a common problem with the camera which can't be cured yet. The decision I'll have to make is whether to put up with the problem (and hope it's a firmware problem that SE will cure in later updates) or return it within the initial 14 days. I really love the phone though and there is no other like it.

When I spoke to Sony Ericsson technical they didn't admit it was a known problem but it obviously is.
