According to one of the latest articles on Macrumors, it has been confirmed that the shipping build of 2.0 is indeed the same as 2.0 Beta 8.

With that in mind, I think several questions that have been asked and only speculated can now be answered (though I don't have those answers...I'm looking for them, haha).

Is it possible yet to unlock 2.0 Beta 8? Several weeks ago all we'd heard was that the 4th version of 2.0 was the latest to be unlocked, has the community reach a new consensus, or for now is Beta 4 still the latest to be unlocked?

And also (and this is more important a question for me personally), if one were to upgrade to the 2.0 that is released the morning of the 11th with a Pwned (or in some other way unlocked) 1.1.4 phone, is it possible to then downgrade back to 1.1.4 if an unlock solution doesn't come out for 2.0 fairly quickly? In my personal need, I'll be traveling abroad the entire fall semester this year, and will need my phone unlocked more than I need the perks of 2.0, but until then, I'd like to enjoy 2.0 and play lots of Super Monkey Ball

I recognize that this post and these questions have been discussed tangentially in a few other threads, but none of those threads have really answered concretely either of these concerns (except the first concern which has...but I'm just checking to see if consensus has changed as of yet).
