Some Apple Stores Already Completely Sold Out of iPhones?

I was going to go to the Los Gatos, CA store on Saturday morning, but they are completely sold out of all iPhones:

I keep reading about Apple Stores having plenty of iPhones in stock, but do some Apple Stores only get a small number of iPhones like the AT&T stores? Los Gatos is a really small community, so maybe Apple didn't want to give them too many.

Also, does anybody else have Apple Stores in your area that are already completely sold out of iPhones and did this happen to that same store during the launch last year?

DUDE. Los Gatos is a small town for rich people wit the population of probably 5,000. What do you expect?

Valley Fair is 10 miles away from Los gatos. I doubt Apple finds it important to stock Los Gatos up. and if you really want to talk about numbers

3-4 stores in california sold out compared to 100 california stores in stock..

that's like 95 + percent of apple stores in california still have it available

the apple store i usually go to, Natick, MA is 100% out right now, but are expecting another shipment today

there isn't really a percent scale for being sold out. you either are in stock or sold out, so drop the 100 percent

I bought mine at Burlingame in south SF last evening. Lined up at 4ish. They had more phones than they could sell. Just that the activation took so long they had to cut off the line around 8:30.... but they still had MANY phones left.

What are you talking about, the Apple Store in my area is only 92% sold out! Shows how much you know!

Seriously, the Apple store in my area is sold out and I'm hoping they get another shipment today. Went there yesterday, but all they had left were the horrific 16GB White and the 8GB models. Was gonna hit up my AT&T store today, but they too were sold out of 16GB Black, having only White and 8GB. I wish Apple would have put more production on the 16GB Blacks vs. any other model (or released the White model at a later date).

I just got back from the Apple store at West Town mall in Madison, Wisconsin where I got the last phone they had. 8 gb, black, exactly what I wanted.

No line at that point. I got there at around 1:50 and walked out with activated phone at 2:15.

did you get one from there? i was going to go to the Boston Flagship one but saw a shorter line at the ATT store across from the BP Library.

anyone know when one can order them via Apple.com or AT&T website?

the girl at the store told me they will be out for while and they have an order list that is being done.....

The Apple Store in my area is now sold out of both the 8GB and 16GB black. All they have is the fugly White. Seriously, the majority do not want that white phone and I wish Apple would do a 80/20 split of Black and White phones (16GB of course).
