New Apps on Edge iPhone?

Hi this may be a dumb question but I can't find the answer and I have searched. Is there any installer source that will have some of these new apps available for download for the old iPhones that are Edge because I cannot upgrade mine because I want to keep it unlocked. Would these apps even work on the old phone? Thanks and sorry if this has been answered a million times
