I love the new iPhone. But compared to the first Apple skimped on the goodies. No little pouch, no dock, and no wipe cloth.

Not big deals, but still items that were nice to have. Just glad that I have them from my first iPhone. Only thing I can't still use is the dock.

A wipe cloth was included. It's with the booklet that was in the box.

I believe you should have received the wipe cloth with your 3G...my phone's sitting on the one it came with right now!

the first one came with no pouch, ipods did...all its missing this time is the dock which I never used anyways

Alright. Found the wipe cloth. Still really bumed about the dock though. Loved just setting my phone in the dock on my computer.

Bummer that you didnt get a dock, but would you still complain if you paid 400-600 and got one? The phone are cheaper, therefore they skimp on some stuff to make up the loss. I don't think I even used my dock for more then 3 days.

I hated the dock. I've seen them totally scratch up the plastic part of the backing on the original iPhone. I just went straight connector after seeng that, and no way would I use a dock on the 3G.

I used it everyday and it didn't scratch up the back of my 2g iPhone (You can actually rub off scratches or indents on that part of the phone). However, it did scratch up the silver bezel.

Yup me neither. I think the problem was the people missed the dock all together and hit the front top corners of it (which is ridiculously sharp) and scratched the back of the phone. You will notice that the new dock is cut off or totally rounded off in the front corners

I used the dock everyday. Was quick and easy to just put it in the dock at my computer. Also loved being able to have it stand up and be in clear view when someone called or sent a text.

Not really complaining....it was just a nice perk. First phone was my first apple product and I was really happy with what it came with. Now I'm wondering if they are going to go down the route of other companies in continually trying to downsize cost.

All that said...I own a 3G dock now. :P
