I currently have a Samsung Blackjack (the first one) that I have been LOVING for over a year. The Blackjack 2 has been getting very favorable reviews and I have been tempted to upgrade to that since I have no interest in moving to another provider. The Blackjack gives me everything I need. Mobile internet, SMS, Exchange syncing, and so on.

Now, here comes the Iphone 3g. Man, this phone does look nice, but they are hitting a lot of problems ATM. Still, I could wait and pick one of these up for $10 more a month. Still, do I really want something like that?

I keep going back to the Blackjack II phone. Mainly because of the keyboard, size, and performance. Plus the reviews are awesome!

What are your thoughts?

well i'd say just get the BJ2 and see how you like it. You can always return it and get the iPhone. I said it in that order since the iPhone has a restocking fee if you return it while the blackjack doesn't. Go to the store though and play with them both if you can and see which you like.

I have a BJ2 and i love it myself (i had the BJ1 also). The iPhone does look tempting though, i gotta admit it and i'm a Microsoft guy

It's definitely one sweet piece of hardware/software!

They say Iphone cant multiitask. I have the BJ2, and I love to read lotsa books/web browsing in it, and it will irritate me lots, if I have to close my book just to do my periodic mail checks, or to the periodic weather updates. Or to close to the book/browsing for me to listen to some cool music. Love the BJ2 all the way. Iphone has to go way.... further before I might want to buy it

What are you talking about? Iphone multi-task just like the BJ2. You can have open as many web browsers are you like and switch between apps without loosing your place in any of them.

Only thing the Iphone does not do is allow you to re-size apps or web sessions so you can not see more than 1 at a time.

I could never go back to wm6. If you have very specific things you with your an device, I'd say stick with it. However I just can't enough of the iPhone.

I have played with the first generation Iphone for a bit and it was VERY nice. Seemed to have all the features that I was enjoying with the blackjack. I consider myself to be a techie guy so the Iphone seems to be the best choice for me. However, its just a hard decision to go with.

The BJII is a great phone as well. My cousin has one and flaunts it in front of me all the time. I am going to upgrade thats for sure, I just don't know which one I am going to get.

Might have to stop by the AT&T store to have a look at the new phone.

Sorry dolmar, didnt know that. My mistake, and sorry for my ignorance. I guess I should take another visit to play a bit more with an iphone.

But still, buttons is one thing I have come to like in the BJ2, and the single handed operation because of that

I on the other hand send less than 20 texts a month so it is not a big deal for me.

If you are paying the full price for internet on your BJ then iPhone will cost the exact same. Just putting that out there for you.
(Example: on BJ- $39.99 for voice, 30 for data, on iPhone its $69.99 for both)
