Well,

It could only happen to me. I got my White 16gb iPhone home Friday night at 11pm ...LOL

I opened the box, and noticed two hair line cracks in the white plastic near the top left corner (left of the headphone jack), and a small piece of green material lodged in the seam of the phone. It looked like some of the protective film got stuck between the front and back of the phone when it was assembled.

So.. I headed back to the Oakbrook, IL Apple Store the next morning... Of course a mob of people had already formed. Security wouldn't let a line form. Pure Genius. NOT!

Anyway, I manged to get a hold of the store manager before the store even opened, and explained my problem. She was kind enough to let me in and fix my iphone problem before the mob.

Thanks to the Oakbrook, IL Apple Store!

Something of that nature would probably count as DOA. Apple (AFAIK) has fairly generous DOA policies.

Ha! here in San Diego. My iphone can't pair with anything for BT. I had to wait inline to get into the store (non-iphone line) for 30 min. Then I was let into another line to make an appt. at the genius bar (another 30min). Then the earliest appt. was this thursday 7/17 @6pm. I had asked to do an exchange instead, but that required another appt to be set.

Taking care of it's customers? Doubt it.

You coudn't even set an appt. over the weekend for the genius bar @ home, which is why I had to come in and do it physically!
