Hi, I had my w600i for about three years now. About a month ago, the back lighting of the screen stopped working for about a week.

A week later, the phone stopped working. I held the power button and nothing turns on the screen, but it does vibrate once and thats it.

Anyway to fix this issue?

Thanks!

I googled on how to flash my SE but not sure as to what to do.

How would I go about flashing my cell phone?

Would I be able to flash it using SUES?

Thanks.

Aight, I updated the software for my phone and it still has the same problem.

It seems like the phone does work, but the problem is, my display isnt working (doesnt show up).

The keypad light turns on, and I think it vibrates once because thats what it does when you do start up the phone (at the boot screen it vibrates once). I am able to make phone calls on the phone with no display.

I think the problem is a failed display screen.

How would i fix this issue?

If you're at all comfortable with taking the phone apart you should make sure the flex cable (connector cable to the lcd) hasn't come loose.

I bet that since the phone is 3 years old and the swivel has no doubt been 'swiveled' 10000 times that the cable has gotten some wear on it and worn a wire or two out.

My best guess is that you need a new flex cable.

no it has to be the firmware
n e wayy to reinstall it?

I put in the newest firmware and still the screen doesnt show up.

the most liekly problem is that the flex cable wthing the phone may have disconnected or worn off due to the many times i swivled it. So I would physically have to fix this hardware issue.

but I got a new phone now, a black N82 and im enjoying it very much.

He already did the fw update. And if he does a flash, and it's still in the same condition, then it's a hardware issue. It could be something a simple as one of the LCD cables got loose from a connector. Or it could be something from the board or the LCD screen itself. It could be tricky when you're trying to diagnose a hardware problem.
