iPhone Battery Usage

I am a first generation iPhone user, my husband gave me this beautiful iPhone. iPhone usage says that I've used my phone for 5 hours and 20 minutes and has been on standby for 11 hours and I have 10% of battery left. Would you guys consider this normal, of should I send my phone on for a battery change while I can? My warrenty ends in 10 months. Is the battery usage typical for the first generation iPhone I'm using? Sorry if this question is dumb, but I'm such a ditz.

P.S. I did a fair amount of web browsing and I texted the whole day! I am a very heavy texter. <3

It depends what you were doing with the phone for those 5 hours. If you were surfing on the browser a lot or talking on the phone then yea it seems normal.

If you were just listening to the Ipod, then that might be a little alarming.

I was texting and browsing the Internet the whole time. I burn through thousands of texts a month.

But yea thats pretty normal then. Browsing takes a lot out of the battery.

Don't worry about it! Ah, I thought so. I probably did about an hour of browing and the rest was texting.
