Did anyone insure your iPhone 3G?

Reading my Apple store receipt, there are URLs to all of the things I "agreed" to. One of them is:
http://www.att.com/iphoneterms

In that, I was surprised to see that insurance was available for the iPhone 3G. Here's the excerpt.

Quote:
Optional Wireless Phone Insurance Is Available
If not already enrolled, ask about optional Wireless
Phone Insurance. If eligible, you have 30 days from the
date of activation or upgrade to add it. Provided by
Asurion Protection Services, underwritten by CNA. See
brochure for complete terms and conditions. Key terms
include:
• Premium: $4.99/month
• Non-refundable Deductible: from $50-$125/per claim
• Limits: Two claims per 12 months; maximum
replacement value of $1500/per claim.
• Replacements may be refurbished or different model.
• Cancel at any time for a prorated refund of the
monthly charge.
I HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND, AND AGREE TO BE
BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT WITH ITS SEPARATE
TERMS OF SERVICE, RATE PLAN BROCHURE AND
FEATURES BROCHURE(S) (including but not limited
to, their Changes to Terms and Rates, Limitation of
Liability and Arbitration provisions).

What bothers me is that the deductible is $50-$125 per claim. Not that there's a deductible, but that it doesn't state what that deductible is.
$50-$125 is a pretty darn big range.

If the deductible is $50, I think it's almost worth it to insure the 16GB iPhone I just paid $500 for. $5/month is $60/year. But if the deductible is $125, then I don't think I'd take it. I'd probably look in to insurance from the one that does my homeowners or auto.

So did anyone get the insurance? Do you have details as to what the deductible is or what is covered? Is lost, stolen, broken, and theft all covered?

Thanks.

I'm not sure that the 4 99 insuarnce is available for the iPhone so I'd ask if I were u before thinking it covers an accidental event

So the text "Optional Wireless Phone Insurance Is Available" is generic an does not necessarily apply to all phones?

I assumed the insurance policy was the same as the first iPhone.

I just will add it to my Computers/Electronics additional policy with State Farm. Very cheap coverage and covers ANY kind of damage/loss no matter the cause.
