Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/109)

I was completely wireless for over 5 years. People usually just called on my wireless account anyways, so I cancelled my landline.

I once again have a landline...only because I require a dedicated fax line. And I needed something that offered affordable long distance.

I dropped my landline years ago. I rarely was home and wondered why was I paying for a landline and a cellular phone? The cell is relatively easy to stay within the allowed minutes and has bee much more beneficial than a landline ever could be. Unless you are always home, I dont see why you wouldnt go with a cell phone.

I dropped by landline the moment Canadians were able to port their landlines to cellphones or VOIP. This happened quite later than in the US.

Having a landline phone has its advantages but for me, I was basically paying for something that I rarely used since no one else was using it when I left my place to go to work, etc.

I've moved 3 times in the last 5 years. My cell line comes with me wherever I go, and so I just use that. I've had no problems what so ever using my cell at a new job or whatever the case may be.

I'm sure sooner rather than later, more and more people will begin dropping their landlines in favor of cells. Everyone in the family has one and that's how we almost always communicate.. my mother has a cell and a landline and I can't reember the last time I've ever called the house.. hell, I don't think I even know the number!
