ATT Tilt vs BlackJack II vs MOTO Q Global?

I have the iPhone 3G now and is not really all that in what I want. What would you recommend from the above mentioned devices? I think the TILT has quite a few good features, but the BlackJack has good battery life, yet the Moto is the fastest processor.

I have a Blackjack II and it is a great phone. I was between it and Q9 but went with the BJII because of the size. The Q9 was just too wide for me. The tilt is a MUCH more powerfull phone, if you can stand the bulk. Features are about the same across the board, so it mostly comes down to which one you like the best based on looks, input style (touchscreen vs not), and size.

I've used the Moto and the Tilt. I have a BJ1 and have played with the BJ2 in the stores. The Tilt is really way too big to use. The slide and tilt mechanism is pretty cool, but the video display lag when changing from portrait to landscape is rough.

The Moto is good, but like stuntd97 said, it's kinda wide. I also don't like the soft keys, they're too hard to press. I used one for a few days and just couldn't get used to it.

If I had to pick one of them, I'd get the BJ2 because of the above things and because I love the BJ1.

What is the overiding factor in your decision? Outside of placing/ receiving calls, what other functions are you looking for? Are you looking for a more multimedia-friendly device? Would you consider yourself a "power user?" Perhaps you need something geared more towards the business-minded individual? Maybe a handset that's good for messeging is what you need? My advice is determine HOW you're gonna use the device. From there, you can make a better informed decision on what will better suit your needs based upon published specs of all three handsets. Good luck in your search!!!

I would not get the Blackjack II, personally. The radio is simply not as good (even with the improvements in ver II), and the keyboard is too small.

The Tilt is good, but too large, IMHO. It is also expensive for what it does, IMHO. It works well and is fast.

Of the three, the Q9h has the best radio, IMHO, and the best support in the online community. It rivals the V9 and Z9 for reception and clarity of calls, and it's fairly zippy with Windows Mobil operation.

Of the three you mentioned, I'd definitely pick the Q9h/Global again.

I'd pick the Tilt if you could deal with the size and price, or if it had a particular feature you liked or wanted, like the way the keyboard and screen work together.

The BJ2 has NO battery life. My wife and I both use one. With nothing running in the background and in standby. The battery life is under 12 hrs. I had to charge my phone twice today - got 1 call and sent a couple of texts.
I would NOT rec. the BJ2 if battery life is what your looking at.

I have had different view on the BJ2. I use mine constantly at the hospital for medical software and texting. I also make calls on, but I don't use the internet. I have great reception, on par or better than with my Moto V9, and the battery easily lasts me 2 full days with the above use. I don't turn the phone off at night.

What medical sw do you use? I was using one to help figure out pt's meds, bt have not been able to load it on the BJ2. I do all the psych stuff at our trauma center here in Augusta.

Chris,

I use epocrates,a variety of skyscape programs, and UpToDate. I'm a med student so still learning. What you have to do is software unlock the BJ2 using a cab file and a program with it hooked up to the computer (2 levels need to be bypasses). This will then allow you to install unsigned apps to the phone. Where in Augusta are you (grew up there for a while), at MCG?

I can get epocrates at work, just haven't dl it. Yes, I work at MCG, busy night tonight.
I had the sw on the BJ1 but it doesn't like the BJ2 for some reason. I really want Thompson, as it has a free version of the DSM IV. Which is great for me, as I do all the psych stuff here.
