hey guys

i'm having an argument with someone about plans and such

lets say i have a 3 year contract and it ends.
what happens then ? do i have to renew or can i just keep the plan ?
and just keep on paying the monthly payments?

what if i have a bell phone which i own and just want to have a number. does it have to be pay as you go or can i just get a plan ?

i am pretty sure you can just do Pay By Month style plans where it is the same as a contract....but you are not locked in for 3 years and can cancel whenever you please!

You can keep a plan on a 'monthly' basis. You can then close your account at any time (with a 30 days warning).

However Bell can also cancel that plan at any time.

Also; if you are on a corporate plan, most promotion are 'for the duration of the contract' so if you have a plan that gives (for example) 500 minutes/mth for say $20 and you get free caller ID and voice mail with it, then after the end of the contract you won't have that free caller ID nor voicemail anymore.

When the contract ends, it is your choice if you want to renew the contract or just continue month to month.

You dont have to renew, but any promotional items will drop off (which often results in higher bills depending on what you lose)
